One topic I am deeply passionate about is Sisterhood Economics—the power of women intentionally creating opportunities, opening doors for one another, and driving sustainable economic growth through collaboration.
A few years ago, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Vuyi in Dubai. At the time, neither of us could have imagined the impact that connection would have years later. Recently, she extended an invitation for me to speak at the Eastern Cape Investment Conference, providing me with a platform to share insights on tourism, investment, and economic development.
For me, this is Sisterhood Economics in action.
When women support women, opportunities multiply. Networks become bridges. Relationships become platforms for growth. We move beyond competition and embrace collaboration, understanding that when one woman rises, she creates opportunities for many others.
The Eastern Cape Investment Conference brought together leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and development partners committed to unlocking economic opportunities across Africa. Being part of these conversations reaffirmed my belief that meaningful connections and intentional support can open doors that no amount of individual effort can achieve alone.
Thank you, Dr. Vuyi, for your confidence, support, and commitment to creating spaces where women can contribute, lead, and thrive.
As Africans, and especially as women in business, we must continue to invest in one another, share opportunities, and build networks that create lasting economic impact for future generations.
